Adventures in Sock Knitting
I took a bit of a knitting break at the end of spring term, but am started to get more motivated to finish projects again :) Wearing my house socks helped inspire me to cast on a pair of basic everyday socks. I decided to knit on double points this time, and quickly discovered that wood needles in small sizes is not a good idea... Yes, I managed to break one of my size 0 double points :( So I have switched to metal DPNs; I'd be impressed if I could break those!

I've found that it isn't too bad knitting socks with two circs. I've gotten 24 inch ones so that if I get wild I could try doing two at a time.
ReplyDeleteDon't forget the Wednesday night Haggen's group for knitting, or New Seasons or The Knitting Bee. ;-)
I'll have to try two circs and see if I like that better than magic loop knitting. I don't mind DPNs, except when they break!
ReplyDeleteI have summer classes on Wednesday evenings through July, but might be able to make knitting night in August :)
